Kintsugi is a Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. This technique highlights the beauty of imperfections and embraces the history of the object, rather than disguising the flaws. The philosophy behind kintsugi reflects the idea that broken items can be made more beautiful and valuable through the process of repair.

LET’S MAKE SUSHI AT HOME!

Just open the box and follow these simple steps to enjoy a Japanese-style sushi meal at home 💛
No experience needed — if you like sushi, you can make it!

Step 1: COOK & SEASON THE SUSHI RICE

Add 300g of rice to a pot
Rinse gently 2–3 times, then drain well
Soak for 20 minutes before cooking

👉 Tip: Proper soaking helps the rice become fluffy, sticky, and easy to roll.

Add water at the ratio:
300g rice : 330–350ml water
Cook using a rice cooker (regular mode)
Once cooked, let the rice rest for 10 minutes before opening the lid

⚠️ Do not stir immediately — resting helps keep the grains intact and glossy.

Transfer hot rice to a large bowl or tray
Pour in all 35ml of sushi vinegar
Gently mix using a cut-and-fold motion, while fanning the rice to cool slightly

STEP 2: ROLL SUSHI

👉 Use Nori Half Sheets – 2 pcs. Best for beginners

1️⃣ Place the bamboo mat on a flat surface
2️⃣ Lay nori on top (rough side facing up)
3️⃣ Spread a thin layer of rice, leaving ~2cm at the top edge
4️⃣ Add fillings in the center
5️⃣ Roll tightly from the bottom using the mat
6️⃣ Slice into bite-size pieces

👉 Use Nori Half Sheets – 2 pcs. Larger rolls with more fillings

Follow the same steps as Maki, but:
✔️ Use more rice
✔️ Add 2–3 types of fillings
Roll firmly to keep the shape

👉 Use Nori Half Sheets – 2 pcs. A fun twist with rice on the outside

1️⃣ Spread rice over the entire nori sheet
2️⃣ Sprinkle sesame on top
3️⃣ Flip the sheet over
4️⃣ Add fillings and roll as usual

STEP 3: TEMAKI – HAND ROLLED SUSHI

TEMAKI ROLL

Use Nori Half Sheets – 2 pcs

1️⃣ Cut the nori in half
2️⃣ Place rice and fillings on one corner
3️⃣ Roll diagonally into a cone shape
4️⃣ Decorate using the Temaki tool ✨

💡 TIPS FOR BEAUTIFUL ROLLS

Rice should be slightly warm, not hot
Do not spread rice too thick
Roll firmly but gently
Wipe the knife with a damp cloth before slicing
